Garnier 017

I loves me a micellar water. I do. Why? Because I’m a lazy oaf.

Micellar water is just so EASY. It cleanses and tones your skin without the need to rinse and it’s perfect for those drunken Saturday nights when you all you wanna do is fall face down into your lukewarm kebab tired evenings when all you want to do is slumber in bed without all the faffing around.

I normally use Sensibio by Bioderma when I can get it. I recently ran out of it however and went out to buy the Garnier Cleansing Water while doing the rounds in Superdrug. I’ve been using it for about a week now and I have to say I’m pretty darn impressed. What I love about Bioderma is how gentle the solution is on my skin, and was pleasantly surprised to notice that this is exactly the same. For half the price.

Normally I’m quite touchy when it comes to high-street skincare (with the exception of Palmers Cocoa Butter. That brand is LIFE) as I’m very careful with my skin and like to feed it all of that good stuff. Garnier’s recent ‘naturals’ line promises to use whenever possible, naturally derived active ingredients carefully extracted in order to preserve their purity. The cleansing water is incredibly gentle and non-drying, which is great for all my sensitives out there. It’s even gentle enough to use on the eyes as well as lips, and does well which removing makeup with one swipe.

Also, can we talk about the size? For just £4.99, you get a MAHOOSIVE 400ml of product, which is enough for about 200 uses. I mean, c’mon; talk about value. I’m really happy that my skin has taken to this formula. I haven’t had any breakouts or anything of the sort, just cleanse, no need to rinse, and pop my serum/moisturiser on and I’m good to go. While I’m still in love with the ‘Derms, I think I’ll be stocking up on Garnier’s version for those times when I can’t be bothered to wait for the postman. 🙂
