I’ve decided to end my National Organic Month series with one of my favourite skincare brands of all time, Antipodes!
If you’ve been a long time reader of my blog, you’ll know that Antipodes and I go together like white on rice (see here, here, here and here!), and now you will see yet another blog post about them because they are THAT good.
Antipodes offer a range of certified organic and natural skincare products featuring premium ingredients from New Zealand, such as avocado oil and various plant extracts. The brand offers energy-efficient, sustainable and high-end skincare created without the use of:

  • Artificial colours or fragrances
  • Synthetic fillers or silicone-derived ingredients
  • Genetically modified ingredients
  • Mineral oils
  • Animal ingredients (except honey and beeswax from living bees)
  • Petrochemicals

Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Light Day Cream

This Antipodes day cream aims to nourish and brighten the skin, using ingredients such as Bee venom, manuka honey, grape seeds and kiwi extract. The rich formula also works to help reduce blemishes and even skin tone. I decided to opt for this day cream as I have hyperpigmentation around my mouth and have been looking for skincare products to help even out the skin tone around that area. I’ve been using the cream for about a month and a half with the Juliet cleanser and Apostle serum and not only does my skin feel soft, I’m beginning to see minor improvements within the tone of my skin!
The cream has a pleasant, light botanical scent and the texture of the product sinks into the skin easily, without leaving an oily residue. I go through periods during the year where I end up using different face creams, either for review purposes or because I want to try something different, however, my skin is always at it’s best whenever I use this face cream in particular, especially during Winter.

Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser

Used in combination with the Skin Brightening Day Cream above, the cleanser is a powerful thing. The cleanser works to brighten your complexion and is a dab hand at removing hardcore makeup too.
The cleanser contains exfoliating extracts such as hibiscus flower and kiwi fruit. Vinanza grape combined with the manuka honey forms the perfect union to help balance oil production, so great for those of us with oily or combination skin. As a cleanser, it pretty much does what it says on the tin, however, the difference I find with this is that it’s extremely moisturising.

Apostle Skin-Brightening Serum

Not gonna lie; this serum has become my partner in crime and I honestly do not know what I would do without it!
As the weather turns, I find that my skin can become quite dull and uneven, texture wise. It’ll be dry in some parts, normal in some parts and oily in others. This water-based texture works to input much-needed moisture into my skin, while balancing the parts of my face that creates excess oil. I no longer look like I’ve gone 3 rounds with Anthony Joshua (boxing, I mean…) and I always wake up with my skin feeling awesome and ever-so strokable. The key ingredient, Kiwi, gently exfoliates the skin, leaving a brighter, more even and healthier complexion.
This is definitely a holy grail product and I can’t even fathom my skin without it! Pricey yes, but EVER so worth it.
