Oh Autumn; how I’ve missed you! Sure, we have the shorter days and cooler temperatures, but one of my favourite things about Autumn is sipping hot chocolate under the blankets with your loved ones, boots and wool knits! I find Autumn a great month for style as there is so much you can do with outfit pieces such as layering and a lot of the time, it takes zero effort to do as the priority is (for me at least) keeping as warm as possible.
Yours Clothing currently have a huge collection of A/W pieces in stock, ranging from knee high boots, jumper dresses and light sweaters to parka coats, fur gilets and knitted maxi dresses. The outfits I’m showing you are some of my key picks for this season; they are pieces I’ve worn to death over the past couple of weeks tbh as they are comfortable and versatile.
This Navy Knitted Tunic is a perfect transitional piece for A/W as it can be worn as a dress or an oversized jumper and is quite light in weight. The tunic has two zips on either side if you’re feeling zesty and want to show off a bit of thigh and I love wearing this as a slouched dress either with tights and boots for work, or with these cleated Over the Knee Boots on a warmer day.
Speaking of these boots, they are wide fit from the foot and also up the calf too. I could have done with a half size bigger as my toes do push against the top of the shoes a little too snugly for my liking. There is a zip on the inside of the boot and as you can see, the boots just about go over the top of my knee by about a millimetre. I don’t know if this is due to height or if it is a universal thing, but it’s something to bear in mind if thinking of getting them. I am 5’7 and would have loved if the boot could be higher by about another 7 cm or so!
I’ve realised that for the first time this year, I haven’t really worn skinny jeans that much at all! What was once one of my favourite pieces has been held back in favour of jumpsuits, dresses and skirts but now it’s time to unleash the skinny jeans yet again for this Autumn. I love these Ripped Knee Detail Skinny Jeans as distressed denim is something new for me having never worn it before. The jeans are mid rise and have a bit of stretch to them which is always good. I’ve paid the jeans with a Cream & Black Knit Sweater as i’m still going strong with the horizontal stripes this season.
The black patent lace up shoes are already a firm favourite of mine; they are an EEE wide fit with plenty of room for my feet to move around in, even with chunky socks. I’ve always wanted boots similar to Doc Martens but could never afford a pair so these come in really handy! I love the patent finish and I found them really easy to break into as well!
