Hey hey folks! Today I’m bringing you guys a review from a relatively new cosmetics brand who will be launching a new line of lip products this June; the Sheer Sticks*.

The new range of Sheer Sticks will consist of eight different sheer lipstick shades; on this occasion I was kindly sent shade Breezy Coral to review. At first I thought these were lip balms as they are EXTREMELY moisturing; the sticks contain jojoba oil and vitamin E oil to sooth and moisturise the lips, but we’ll get into the texture and consistency later.
Let’s discuss the colour: Breezy Coral is a bright, *you guessed it* coral shade with slight pink undertones and gives a sheer, creamy finish; takes a couple of applications to build up a more opaque colour as its so sheer. Coral has never been a colour that has suited my skintone, so I would probably mix this with another colour to form something more suitable.
The texture of the lipstick is very, very creamy and soft. So much so that the base of the lipstick had melted/broken off upon opening. This may have been down to the texture of the lipstick (maybe too much beeswax?), or I may have just received a faulty one. In any case, I haven’t seen any other reviews of this happening with their other lipsticks so mine may have just been a one off.
My lips felt moisturised as soon as I applied the lipstick, which is always good and I would say that the feeling lasts for about a good couple of hours before I need to re-apply. If you’re a sufferer of dry lips, I would definitely recommend this for you as it’s ultra intensive and the lipstck has a slight minty scent which isn’t too overpowering.

In conclusion, the sheer stick is extremely rich in texure and really delivers when it comes to moisture and hydration. As I said earlier, you could be forgiven for thinking that this was a lip balm instead of a sheer lipstick. I would definitely love to try more colours within this range as I think they would make a great Summer stable.
The sheer sticks will be available from www.kisscosmetics.co.uk from the 3rd of June and will retail for £7

REVIEW | KISS Cosmetics Sheer Stick – Breezy Coral

  1. This looks very moisturising. Looks coral in the tube but comes off pink on the lips, reminds me of the colour changing lipsticks!

Yeah It's one of those ones! Ii would have preferred something a bit more rose/brown toned, but the moisture more than makes up for it x
