Now, I’ve always been rather…frugal when it comes to purchasing make-up as I believe that you can get very good dupes as opposed to the more expensive alternative, however when I read on Yinka’s blog that Chanel were releasing new shades in their foundation line, I jumped at the chance to swipe a samples to see what all the fuss is about.
I went down to House of Fraser to get my skin matched (shout out to the sales assistant/self proclaimed “Chanel Foundation Expert” Keith! He’s awesome) and was able to take home a sample. I used it the next day for work and I was just blown away by how light and easy it was to apply! (looks at MAC fluid foundation in disgust ¬_¬)
You get 30ml of product which is encased in a frosted glass – how classy! It is quite dear but trust me – the quality of the foundation is superb. I normally use light coverage so I was a bit wary with the application at first as it is more suited to medium-full coverage, however I needn’t have worried as it applies on extremely light. I used two pumps on the back of my hand and it was enough for my whole face.
My shade is 154 Ambre, which is the darkest in the collection. For reference, I usually wear NC50 with MAC Studio Fix.
I love how the foundation gives my skin a subtle glow, without it looking too shiny.
Here’s some photos with me wearing it:

Price – £36
Available at Boots and Chanel counters.
