I’ve always had a fascination with knowing about the history of everyday objects, why things are named as such and the architecture behind the most commonplace of objects. Take watches for instance; I never understood the deal as to why Swiss Watches were considered the Creme de la Creme of the watch world.

I think watches are such a timeless (See what I did there? YOU SEE IT) item of jewellery that is able to evolve and transcend through the ages. Remember back in the day when everyone was rocking the G-Shock watch in the 90s? Nowadays, it’s all about gold/rose gold chunky watches and elegant leather timepieces.
