I am the worst with update/scheduled posts – I always start off well, and then tend to drift off and forget about ’em.I commend those of you who can do these weekly posts – such discipline!
Anyway, the past few weeks have gone by in a real blur for me. I was ill for much of the month and have only recently started to feel a bit better; damn asthma. I’ve taken a good look at this blog and have realised that I have been sorta neglecting the ‘beauty’ aspect of it for a couple of months now so I’m going to try as much as possible to do as many beauty posts as I can to create a more sturdy equilibrium.
The purchases / repurchases
Primers have always been a staple product within my makeup collection; none other than the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer which to me is the Holy Grail of primers. I may go for the oil-free kind next time as I’ve recently discovered that I have a bit of an oily T-Zone. The primer is good for those with dry skin and I find that more often than not, I don’t need to use any sort of finishing powder after I apply le makeup. Good times all round!
Another repurchase is the CK One Shock for Her perfume which is a cute little floral jobby ideal for summer. It’s essentially a watered down/diluted version of Viktor & Rolf’s ‘Flowerbomb’ containing peony, poppy and blackberry and lasts about 5 or 6 hours, depending on weather etc.
I also picked up these funky spherical shades from ASOS for a mere tenner – you gotta love ASOS shades, I do especially as they cater for chubby faces like mine and makes it a bit more streamlined.
Baby Steps / Self love
So I looked in the mirror today and for the first time in my life, I liked what I saw.
Just found your blog and like what I have read, so I will be back to read more. . .
