I absolutely refuse to believe that Winter is Coming.

You mean to tell me that after a Summer of mesh, mini-skirts, bare legs and crop tops, I have to switch it up to knits, layering, and maximum coverage? NAHHHHHH FAM. I now check the ‘New In’ sections of my favourite online stores with dismay, as my beloved pumpum shorts and mesh bodies are being slowly taken over by the knits.
My body and I are holding out as much as possible in order to make the most of the current mild-ish weather. There have been a few days recently where I’ve felt a slight chill while out, but like they say, mind over matter innit? I’ve decided to keep dressing like it’s Summer until my body can no longer stand it tbh.
It’s such a weird turn of events: back in the day when my confidence was at its lowest, I would welcome chunky knits, oversized pieces, in cardigans in Summer, as I was so afraid of showing any part of my body. Now though? It’s all mesh, all crop tops, all the time.

I like to think I’ve stuck a nice medium with this outfit. Pleated maxi skirts were all the rage this Summer, and Simply Be US hopped on the trend with this gold lightly pleated maxi skirt (currently on sale my US friends!). I teamed the skirt with one of my all-time favourite mesh T-shirts (wrapped into a crop top) from ASOS Curve, and the gorgeous Nina bra by Elomi.
