Quiz Clothing 2
Little known fact: did you know that a fairy is born every time a mainstream brand announces they are releasing a plus size line?
Quiz Clothing recently announced the launch of a brand new plus size range, modelled by the gorgeous Felicity Hayward. The 83 piece line is available in sizes 18 – 28 with the hope that they can increase this size within the near future. From what I can gather, the collection seems to be an extension of some of their main range clothes, as well as some new pieces, and the price point is pretty reasonable too, ranging between £12 – £37.

The current collection screams Springtime femininity, with loads of floral prints, pastel colours and materials such as chiffon and lace, so if you’re currently on the hunt for a piece to wear for a formal occasion, I’d recommend making a pit stop here to see what pieces Quiz have on offer!

This Navy Embroidered V-neck dress spoke to me when I first saw it online, as it looked so gorgeous on Felicity. I ordered the dress in my size, however I was unaware that the material would be similar to a scuba-type fabric (silly me for not reading the info on the site!). For some reason, in my head, I assumed it would be cotton and therefore a bit stretchier. This dress does not have a lot of give/stretch hence my glorious FUPA you see before you.
It’s one of those scenarios where to size up would have been too big, so you may want to bear that in mind with this dress, or perhaps put on some shapewear underneath (I have none on here). The dress itself is very beautiful, the floral stitching is very intricate and the dress would be perfect to wear for date night, or even dress-down Fridays at work.
All in all, I would love to explore other options within the range in regards to their sizing – so far from what I’ve seen from other bloggers, the sizing seems to be on point so perhaps the restriction is limited to this dress alone.
For a first foray into plus size clothing, I think the Quiz collection is really lovely – especially if you are into feminine tailoring and florals. As someone whose style is a bit more on the edgier side, it’ll be great if there were a few pieces that explored sharper cuts and a selection of different fabrics, however that may be something that will come in the A/W collection!
