Did you guys know that with WorldDutyFree, you can receive free beauty services at Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham, Stansted, Manchester and Glasgow airports?? Well neither did I and the timing couldn’t have been better as I was informed by the lovely guys over at WorldDutyFree beauty just before I jetted out to Prague for the week. With up to 120 brands and 12,000 beauty products, you’re sure to find the right sort of beauty treatment for you while chilling out in the departure lounge. There are loads of free treatments to choose from such as the contouring station at Benefit, a smoky eye lesson from Bobbi Brown, a flash beauty pre-flight touch up from Givenchy and a hand message service from L’Occitane. During my tour of the various services on offer, my boyfriend and I decided to go for a 10 minute scented arm and hand massage from Jo Malone, using their new Mimosa and Cardamom collection which smelled absolutely amazing; the scent is very warm, spicy and sweet and lingers for ages on the skin. The Body and Hand Wash was used on me beforehand, then the body cream for the massage and finally was sprayed with the fragrance. I’ve only ever bought one fragrance from Jo Malone, but you know when you come across a fragrance that you just KNOW is the one? Your signature scent? I think this one is for me, and I’ll definitely be saving my coins to hopefully buy the 100ml bottle!
After the lovely massage, we were taken to the Bobbi Brown stand where I was met by a lovely makeup artist named Jenny who talked me through a quick 10 minute lip and cheek lesson. During this lesson, I was introduced to a range of Bobbi Brown cosmetics such as the Bali Brown bronzer (which is beautiful on dark skin) and a blush called ‘Flame’, a fiercely orange pigment that looks radiant when applied softly on dark skin and really managed to bring out the warmth in my skintone. After the lesson, I was given a list of all the makeup applied and was delighted to be informed that Bobbi Brown do cater to darker skin tones within their foundation, which gets a huge thumbs up from me!
After the lesson, we were taken by our lovely concierge Khadra to the new Destination Tasting Bar, which offers a variety of pre-flight drinks based on your final destination and features drinks such as Jack Daniels, Ciroc, Courvoisier and a whole host of other drinks and cocktails.
The whole experience was fabulous and we felt so looked after and were loaded with lots of information and new wishlist wants! A massive thank you goes out to Khandra from World Duty Free at Heathrow Airport for providing my boyfriend and I with such a relaxing and informative experience before our flight!
