Over the past couple of months, I’ve found myself amassing a huge amount of candles, all different shapes, sizes, scents and colours – guess it must be the chilly Winter nights that makes you want to snuggle up with a good book and a nice scented candle!
I actually found out about
Shearer candles from my Ma who loves their stuff. Shearer Candles are a Scottish based candle company who make a very broad range of candles ranging from three-wicked candles to Beeswax and garden candles. They also have a range of 19 different scent collections, so there are loads to choose from!
I chose the Amber Noir candle which contains an essence of tuberose, violets and amber. Although it takes a few minutes for the scent to radiate around the room, the end result is lovely and makes my room smell warm and crisp. I have been guilty of sometimes leaving the candle on and accidently falling asleep!
The candles have a variety of packaging; Amber Noir is contained in a black glass votive jar and the presentation is gorgeous. I love the combination of the black and gold, which gives it a real luxurious vibe. The burn time is approximately 35 hours and only needs to be lit for around 3 hours each time for the scents to be released.
Overall, I’m MIGHTY impressed with the range (as you can see, I bought another 3-wicked candle in the background, just in time for Christmas!) and I can see my bank balance hating every minute of it as I’ll probably be buying in bulk now- although these babies won’t break the bank, with the Amber Noir candle costing £7.00! The scent and most of the other candle scents are available as three-wick candles, diffusers, tea lights and pillar candles.
