[Shouts in ‘Slade-type’ fashion] IT’S (nearly) CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!
It’s nearly that time of year when we dust off the vagazzled heels, kick-start the fad diets and get to online shopping for the perfect dress for your office Christmas party (mine’s on December 21st – eek!)
Skin bronzers, highlighters and shimmers have never been on my Xmas checklist as I’ve always assumed that they would never work on someone of my skin tone. That is, until I was kindly sent the Noursh Golden Glow Toning Souffle!
I had never heard of the brand before, so I was very excited to try the souffle.
“Light reflecting particles even skin tone, giving a smooth lustrous appearance and a naturally healthy sun-kissed glow. Golden resins of frankincense and myrrh, combined with a nutrient rich phyto-active marine extract, tone the skin, firming and boosting suppleness. With super-hydrating hyaluronic acid and tripeptides to stimulate the production of collagen, skin feels smoother, softer and has a refined, fresh appearance.”

Enriched with hyaluronic acid, which helps in rehydrating and removing toxins from your skin, the souffle improves the appearance of your skin while adding a subtle shimmer to compliment the skin tone. Nourish also use natural plant ingredients in their products, which is great news for someone like myself who prefers using natural/organic products.
Containing Aloe Vera, Argan Oil, Shea butter and Christmas favourites Frankincense and Myrrh as their main ingredients, I found that the souffle not only gives me a gorgeous bronzed shimmer, but also helped in making my skin very smooth, healthy and hydrated. Upon opening the jar, I assumed the product’s texture would be that of a body butter, but the consistency has more of a ‘single cream’ feel to it and so its quite easy to go overboard with this one. You only need a little for a good amount of coverage.
The colour of the souffle is quite light yellow/beige with a lovely golden speckled shimmer that doesn’t look or feel overbearing when applied. The light fragrance of the Frankincense and Myrrh is very unique, warming  gives it that touch of Christmas excitement!
I’ve used the souffle alone and on top of a self-tan and the results have been amazing; it can be worked into the skin well although at times it can be runny if used too much. I often found that I had to give my hands a bit of a wash after use as the shimmer would get stuck in the lifelines of my palms.
Look at that glow; I can’t wait until the Xmas season so I can show this baby off!
