Yesterday while gallivanting around Selfridges with the Lovely Sophia from
Tattooed Tea Lady, I decided to mosey on over towards the NEOM candle section, as I’d seen oh so many reviews and good things about the company. Wanting to try them out, I decided to purchase one of their small room candles in ‘Tranquillity’.
NEOM Organic candles are made using only vegetable wax and pure essential oils as opposed to synthetic fragrances so they burn without releasing harmful pollutants, toxins or soot. Because the fragrances are so strong, NEOM advise that the candles should only be burned for up to three hours at a time.
The Tranquillity candle is a blend of English lavender, basil and jasmine and is intended to use as a nice before-bedtime treat in order to soothe the senses and send you drifting off peacefully into the land of Nod.
I used the candle for the first time yesterday and within 8-10 minutes, my room was filled with a strong, yet pleasant aroma. NEOM only use English Lavender as opposed to French as English Lavender is a tad stronger. I had the candle on for about 2 hours and the scent lingered on until I fell asleep(which must have been about an hour after I blew it out!)
In regards to the price, I am still on the fence about paying £40 for the full size, however I can see myself getting it if I wanted to treat myself. The travel version is £15 which may be worth the money as NEOM say the burning time for this is around 20 hours (30% longer than other premium candles).
Ingredients:
English Lavender
Sweet Basil
Jasmine
Size:
75g
Pros:
-Organic ingredients
– Strong aroma that lasts for up to 4 hours
– Elegant packaging
– A large variety of scents
– Matching Bath Wash and Body Cream
-20 hours burning time.
Cons:
-The Price: I don’t mind paying £15 for the Travel candle, however £40 may be a bit steep for me personally to shell out on the full size (400g) version! However, I suppose the full size version would burn for much longer and is more suited toward living rooms/hallways.
Have you tried NEOM before? What do you think?
I recently ordered the big Rebalance candle- there was an offer on Achica and the big ones were £25 and £30. I literally can't wait to get my order! 🙂
nICE!
This sounds great, would love to try it!
