As much as I love experimenting with different colours and prints, white has always been a shade I’ve tended to avoid partly due to my belief that white makes me look a lot larger than normal. When these Simply Me Wide Leg Grid Culottes* were released online however, I decided to combat my fear head on because LOOK AT THE CULOTTES.
I love the challenge of taking on items I would never normally wear and teamed the culottes with a Simply Be grid blouse, fur clutch bag and ankle boots. This is definitely a daytime statement look; If I ever had the chance to attend London Fashion Week, I would definitely wear an outfit like this. It’s a clean, crisp minimal look, but has enough detail so that minimal to no jewellery is needed. The fur clutch adds a bit of fun and a pop of neutral shading to the outfit and the boots are simply fierce.
The culottes themselves are very true to size and glides nicely over the FUPA/tummy area. I know that the topic of culottes can sometimes divide opinion, but I’ve always been a big believer in wearing things that make you feel confident and good about yourself, regardless of what others think. If you feel good, your confidence will show in your appearance!
