I have always been the biggest fan of Gwen Stefani (especially since she’s gone solo, her Love.Angel.Music.Baby album is one of my faves) and since the release of her Harajuku Lovers fragrance range a few years ago, I have always tried to get at least one fragrance from each collection. Now I’ve never been the keenest on the idea of the ‘celebrity fragrance’ as after collecting quite a few over the years, I noticed that they all essentially smelled the same and dare I say, smelt pretty cheap, however I am a huge fan of the Harajuku Lovers brand; not only because of the adorably shaped bottles, but because the quality of the fragrances are really really strong.

The Electric Pop line is the HL’s latest collection; the original five dolls (G, Baby, Love, Music and Lil’Angel) are launched with new fragrances and a new look – white bottles which look as if they’ve been dipped in melted chrome of vivid colours. I absolutely adore the bottles and love the contrast of white with such  a vivid colour – they almost remind me of little trophies and I think this would go down a treat with teenage girls!

Harajuku Lovers Electric Pop in Love is a floral and fruity concoction made with apples, pears, jasmine, musk and cashmere. The apple and pear combination really come through as soon as the fragrance is sprayed, with the notes of cashmere adding a real warmth to the fragrance. Although sweet, it’s a fragrance that is not too sickly or overpowering, has  steady longevity (around 4 hours) and would be perfect for someone who likes subtle fruity floral fragrances. It looks amazing on the dressing table too!
