So many promises in a name that long!
While on the Feel Unique site a few weeks ago, I came across the quirky and interesting liquid soup by a company named Dr. Bronner. I instantly fell in love with the retro labelling so I ordered a bottle in Almond and Hemp.
Dr. Bronner’s is an American skincare brand created by..well..Dr.Bronner(lol!) and their castille soaps are their most popular products from their range which include shampoos, shaving gels, lip balms and hair conditioners. The liquid soap is popular as Dr. Bronner’s claim that is can be used in 18 different ways. Wowaweewa!
What is Castille Soap?
Castille soap is an olive-oil based soap made in a similar style to how they made soap in Castille, Spain.
18 uses for liquid soap? How Is That Possible??
It doesn’t list all 18 uses on the website for some reason, but I have used the soap for some of them, including;
-as a toothpaste (almondy, but nasty aftertaste)
– as a laminated floor cleaner (gives my floors a nice shine!)
– as washing up liquid (leaves the dishes smelling nice and super clean)
– as a window washer (a bit greasy, but clean nonetheless)
– as a shower gel (very thorough and squeaky clean!)
– as a laundry detergent (mildly okay, but i did combine it with a bit of Vanish so the clothes turned out nice)
But my favourite way to use the soap is as a bubblebath.
You only need a tiny amount of the soap to create a tub load of bubbles that last until you finish bathing. The scent of Almonds is one of my favourite scents ever so I thoroughly enjoyed this. The mixture of the almonds, coconut oil and jojoba oil makes the skin feel very soft, clean and smooth and you finish bathing feeling squeaky clean. As a body cleanser, it’s brilliant.
As for the packaging – it’s just amazing! The whole label is filled top to toe with random and inspirational and spiritual quotes from the creator himself who was an orthodox Jew. It makes for cool reading too.
The liquid soap comes in 8 different scents and are all 100% organic and haven’t been tested on animals.
All the packaging is recycled and the ingredients for all the soaps include;
Saponfied Organic Coconut, Organic Palm & Olive Oils, Hemp Oil, Jojoba Oil, Essential Oils, Vitamin E Oil and Citric Acid.
472ml (also available in other sizes) – £8.49 from FeelUnique

    I love the Peppermint! I use it in the shower, when washing clothes and dishes, mixed in a bottle with water I use it as a cleaner and to get rid of these dreadful ants that come in the winter. I'm going to have to try the almond version as well.
