“We hope that one day your life is as wonderful as you pretend it is on Facebook” – Pencourage

I don’t know about you guys, but I swear I’m on every social media site going. You name it, I’m on it! When I heard of yet another social media platform, my first thought was “Oh, what’s it going to be now?” however Pencourage is a social media site with a difference.

Pencourage is an online journal where users can broadcast their thoughts and feelings for the world to see – anonymously. Users can upload videos and songs to accompany each journal and you can also read other users journals, befriend them and send them ‘love’. It allows you to share your innermost thoughts and feelings with the security in knowing that your details will never be revealed. 

One of the specifications of a blogger is that we be as social and interactive as possible, thus we only really show and tell people what we want them to see – I myself have wanted various times to write about my innermost thoughts and feelings but have always been a bit daunted by the fact, knowing some friends and family read my blog too and I’ve never really been someone who liked to tell too many people how I really feel about certain issues.

Pencourage promise to keep all of your profile information a secret and you can post as little, or as much as you like; from little anecdotes about your day to full blown rants about your boyfriend or that toerag who “accidently” spilt coffee on your new skinny jeans that you had spent 20 MINUTES getting into that morning – but…I digress. I know where all my rants will be going from now on!
