Kneipp

Truer words have never been spoken Seb.

I love finding out about new, natural brands. Love it. I love finding out about the different ingredients used and blended to make specific products so I was utterly excited when I was asked to attend a press event for Kneipp Natural Skincare. The brand, which is hundreds of years old was founded by German holistic priest Sebastian Kneipp (hence the name, ha) who used his knowledge of the healing powers of water and medicinal plants to become one of the founding fathers of naturopathic or holistic medicine movement.

Just as the French are known worldwide for their high quality makeup and skincare products, Germany is fast becoming well known for their organic and natural skincare; I’ve been using a few German products recently and I must say how impressed I am with how effective and pure the products are.

Arnica Joint & Muscle Mineral Bath Salt 500g (£7.95)
This product is right up my street as the nature of my job often sees me grabble with aches and pains all over the gaffe. Now I’d never heard of the Arnica flower before using this however upon doing a bit of research, I found out that it’s one of the best known homeopathic remedies for bruising and skin trauma and that it’s sometimes used by plastic surgeons after performing surgery on patients who do not want to use chemicals or another synthetic means of healing. It also has a high content of natural brine salt and so it smells very fresh and exfoliates the skin nicely. Plus it makes your bathroom smell like a spa. Bonus!

Kneipp3

Moisture Bath Almond Blossom Soft Skin Herbal Bath 100ml (£7.95) and Enjoy Life Bath May Chang Lemon Oil 100ml (£6.99)
Made with high quality almond oil, the gorgeously scented bath oil works to protect and nourish the skin by helping to strengthen the skin’s natural protective barrier, leaving skin soft and silky. I like using this at night for two reasons; 1) the scent makes me EXTREMELY drowsy and ready for a good night of zzzzzz’s and 2) It’s so moisturising that I don’t even need to moisturize after I get out. I can just get straight down to the zzzzzz’s. 😀

I use the May Chang oil in the morning if I have the time to take a proper bath or a very long shower. The lemon scent is vibrant and uplifting and really wakes the body up in preparation for the day. It contains natural essential oils that help improve the mood too so this would be great come winter!

Kneipp2

Cheerful Mind Body Wash with Passion Fruit & Grapefruit Essential oils (available from June)
When combined with water, the body wash releases the essential oils to ease stress and tiredness. This is another spa smelly one that’ll make your bathroom smell gorgeous. It’s also a soap-free formula that leaves me squeaky clean and lightly scented. I love this and I can’t wait to pick up more within the range!

As a natural beauty enthusiast, I am really delighted to say that I’ve fallen for these products completely. Before knowing the prices of the product, I groaned at the thought of having to save up to treat myself as I assumed that they were high-end luxury products. You can imagine my face when I learned how affordable the products are. You do get loads for your money; fresh, UHMAZINGLY SCENTED products (honestly, different scents of each product are incredible. They literally blew me away) and completely natural. I’m normally very picky when it comes to natural skincare so please believe me when I say that these products are amazing. I’m currently biding my time (and pennies) until I can do my next splurge.

Have you guys ever tried Kneipp Skincare?
