I assumed that this month’s Birchbox would centre around the Easter theme, however the theme for this month’s box centers on drawing inspiration from food markets, restuarants and the good ‘ole kitchen resulting in most of, if not all, of this month’s samples being food related. Yum.
Let’s have a look at what we have inside ey?
Colour Club Gala’s Gems Nail Polish | Full size | £15 for set of 4
This month, Birchbox have collaborated with London-Based Spanish blogger, Gala Gonzalez to create four pretty pastel shades that are exclusive to Birchbox. The colour I have is called Breakfast At… which is an emerald pear blue that reminds me of a certain jewellery box…
Lord & Berry Couture Kohl Kajal Eye liner | (sample size) Full size – £10 |
I love Kajal eye pencils; they are so much softer and silkier than normal eye pencils and I’m a huge fan of Lord & Berry’s lip and eye pencils as they are incredibly pigmented and last for quite a while.
Campos de Ibiza Almond Body Milk | (sample size )
This light body lotion contains rosewater to calm irritated and sensitive skin while the moisturising agents and antioxidants offer hydration and protection from environmental dangers such as sun damage. If this product were a butter, I would have been all over this, but lotions are too light for my skin to absorb, which is a shame!
theBalm How ‘Bout them Apples Cheek & Balm Stain (sample) | Full Size – £26 |
I’ve always loved theBalm products so I was really happy to see this in my box. I’ve found that theBalm offers long wear colour that’s very buildable so it’ll be great for Summer. I recieved the shade ‘Pie’, which is a coral/red shade that gives a subtle, creamy finish.
Yes To Cucumbers Facial Wipes | Full Size – £4.99 |
As much as I love Yes To…I despise facial wipes, even the “natural” ones as my skin is incredibly sensitive to these sorts of products. The wipes contains anti-inflammatory green tea extract to improve the general health of the skin and to protect against free radicals as well as to help rebuild damaged skin cells. I’m going to pass this product on to a friend, but overall, I do love the Yes To…range.
Lifestyle extra: Propercorn Sweet Coconut & Vanilla Popcorn | 0.90p |
A very, very, very queer tasting popcorn! I would never have put the two flavours together, but i’m glad they did because it tastes amazing. The popcorn tastes a little ‘dusty’ though due to whatever flavouring they used, but tasty all the time. I’m curious to see what other combos they have in the range.
Remember you can sign up for Birchbox here and earn 50 birchbox points worth a fiver that can be spent in the birchbox shop!
What do you think of this month’s Birchbox?
The popcorn flavour definitely took my eye, sounds like the oddest mix xo
I got mine yesterday! Soooo good! Quite different to yours though. Will review soon… x
