Growing up in Ghana, I’d often attend social functions in which all the ladies would be dressed in outfits with the specific intention of matching with their shoes; often to a fault. There were only so many lipstick/handbag/button/shoe pairings I could take before the sight of a colour coordinating piece would make me visibly ill.
But I’m older now. I’m wiser innit. I’m finally ready to try out this trend without fear of looking like my grand-aunts. I decided to test the waters with peach hues, broken up by these patterned cropped trousers by my faves over at Navabi (which have sadly sold out, but check these out!).
I saw the slingback shoes on Simply Be and *had* to snap them up and I’ve found it rare to find this specific cut in widefit form. They go perfect with this peach blouse, also by Simply Be (which was ironed beforehand BTW!). This look is quite demure for me and isn’t something I would normally wear on an everyday occasion – it’s very much a ‘workwear’ fit, but I do love how the trousers bring the whole look together, as the specks on the trousers are beige/peach in colour.
I’m a fan!
I’m so bad at matching clothes and accessories but you have totally nailed this! As always you look stunning xx

I frequently match my shoes and bag – mostly in coral, red, or black. I feel its my Grandma coming out in me!

This is a beautiful outfit! And that peach color looks stellar on you. The shoes are super fun, too. I never would have even thought of peach shoes, but this works brilliantly! Well done.
