Vintage-style clothing is an area that has always been completely foreign to me; I’ve always admired the full skirts, petticoats and waist cinching dresses from afar but have never gone out to purchase any pieces, largely because there were never any pieces available in my size!
Introducing Joanie Clothing folks. Joanie are a brand spanking new vintage-style clothing brand full of fun, feminine flirty vintage inspired pieces. When I was asked to feature a couple of the pieces, I was SO STOKED as I’d seen a few campaign shots featured fellow gorgeous bloggers Em and Sade who look absolutely sensational! The brand (who aren’t a plus size-specific brand) go all the way up to a size 26 in a lot of their pieces and I’ve already seen a couple of guys at work wearing some of their jumpers which I find awesome, as you feel a sense of inclusivity knowing that you own the same item as someone 10 sizes smaller than you!
At the moment, Joanie have quite a few Christmas themed sweatshirts, such as the Sequinned Prezzie jumper I’m wearing below in a 2XL, which I’d say would fit a UK size 22-24. The Milly floral full skirt is absolutely incredible and boasts a deep waistband AND POCKETS WHICH IS A THING I LOVE ON SKIRTS AND DRESSES. It’s such a gorgeous, structured skirt that fits very true to size and the print is stunning!
