I think it’s safe to say that Summer in the UK is pretty much over (give or take a few days) and so I’m already within the process of aligning up some pieces for my Autumn wardrobe. As we head into a new season, I have recently felt a new lease of life and am bursting with creative energy. You may have noticed that I’ve had a bit of a blog layout change to reflect this.
I love a/w as it allows me the opportunity to play with different textures and colours. Take for instance my little layering jobby with this Simply Be Denim dress and waterfall duster coat from River Island Plus. I love the colour palette and the layering adds texture to the outfit. I paired the look with my favourite Simply Be sandals and faux fur clutch bag for a bit of oompth.

Style Notes:

Duster coat: The coat is has elasticated ruching at the back and fits true to size. While this is true to size, I’m currently in-between sizes ATM and have lost a bit since buying the coat, which is why it hangs slightly loose on me.

Denim Dress: The dress is made of stretchy denim and also fits true to size. It comes a few inches above my knee and for reference, I am 5,7. Would also look great with opaque tights and heeled Chelsea boots come winter!
