One of the many things I love about Simply Be is that their website interface is oh so easy and informative to use if you’re looking for a particular item. Every season or so, they will come out with a specific ‘shop’ or feature, helping your find that perfect piece. This season, Simply Be have gone Dress Obsessed and have opened up a style section on their site, carefully selecting ideal dresses for any occasion, making it easier for you to find what you need!
I’m in the market for all the maxi dresses this summer and found this gorgeous Crochet-Top Maxi Dress within the  ‘holiday dresses’ section. it’s a gorgeous floor length maxi dress that is oh-so vibrant and just screams ‘TAKE ME ON HOLIDAY NOW!’. The The bottom half of the dress is gorgeously soft and looks amazing when you catch a swift breeze #MarilynMoment, and is definately one to suit all skin tones. To amp up the colour factor, i paired the dress with my Ruby Woo lipstick and some jazzy Aztec inspired sandals from New look.

Size Notes:

When it comes to maxis, i normally tend to size up because I like them to be loose and flow better, HOWEVER with this dress i would strongly advise against doing that. I made the mistake of sizing up on this and now I wish I hadn’t as it’s very true to size and the crochet half of the dress is quite large on me and sags in some areas. I could have probably sized down a couple of sizes tbh. The dress is floor length on me and for reference, I am 5’7.
