One of my favourite literary characters of all time is jilted bride Miss Havisham from the novel ‘Great Expectations’, and that’s exactly who I felt like when wearing this gorgeous white lace dress from Carmakoma, available at Navabi.
It’s officially occasion/wedding time, and Navabi have a plethora of gorgeous pieces to carry you through the season, including the one I’m wearing above. This is my first outfit from Carmakoma and after hearing and seeing nothing but positive reviews of the brand, I had high expectations. I’m delighted to say that I haven’t been disappointed! This dress is absolutely GORGEOUS; it has a slight ‘fit ‘n flare’ cut at the waist with an attached lace belt to create definition, and the sleeves are of a batwing design; a sleeve cut that I’m not normally a big fan of but on this dress I think it works fantastically to create an ethereal look and allows my arms to move around freely without any tightness, which is great for my big arms. What I love about this dress is that despite looking very formal, I find it very versatile. I’d wear this to a Christening, a Summer BBQ or some other “white dress friendly” event!
I’ve styled the dress with a gang of necklaces, a mock-leather roll-up clutch bag and some in-trend lace up sandals to complete the look. Check below for details!
