After what seems like weeks of waiting, the River Island Plus size collection has finally landed! An extension of the main line range, the Plus collection features loads of bold prints, in trend pieces and dope structuring. I know that the release of a plus line was hotly anticipated (by myself included) as I’ve always been a fan of their items and how generous some of their pieces are in terms of the fit. I was very kindly gifted some pieces from collection including these bomb Mid Rise Molly Jeans and White Cutwork Detail Shirt, which I decided to put together for a casual look.

The main thing about the range which is a positive for me is the generous arm space. I have big arms and so to know that I could get a shirt in my size which comfortably fits over my shoulder/bust area with no pulling makes me very very happy. The shirt is very true to size, almost to the point where I may consider at some point wearing it alone as a dress as it does retain a bit of length. I like the lazer cut detail around the bust area and it’s a generally comfortable shirt that can be won for work or leisure.
The Molly mid rise jeans are a skinny jean and are available in three lengths: short, medium and long. I am wearing the medium length here which I think I can just about get away with, however I think the long would have achieved a better fit on me. Again, the fit is very true to size and there is loads of stretch around the upper thigh area which is brilliant for those of us with a generous FUPAs.
The collection is brilliant in general and I’m so glad they have received a positive response so far. There are a few more items that I’ll be getting from this range and here’s hoping that the new collection is just as good ( and more size inclusive!)
