I’ve decided to break up my ‘all black everything’ phase and inject in a bit of colour to brighten up the upcoming dark days and what-not! One of the only reasons why I embrace the Winter (aside from the Festive season) is because I get to do a lot of layering; chunky knits, coats, jackets and blazers over shirts, I love it all. New Look currently have a great collection of outerwear that can be layered over other pieces or worn alone. One piece of clothing that I’ve always liked has been the sleeveless blazer as they are incredibly versitile and are one of my key layering pieces; they literally go with everything. On this occasaion, I teamed up the New Look grey textured sleeveless blazer with this dark yellow dip hem long sleeved shirt . I’ve always thought that grey and yellow look amazing together and one my rules with layering is that I like to layer something short sleeved over something long-sleeved; sounds elementary I know, but it really helps! Along with this are my black skinny Lucy jeans from Simply Be and trusty chelsea boots from Primark. As someone who’s never really owned a long sleeved formal shirt and a sleeveless blazer before, I’m really feeling this look as it’s colourful, comfortable and adaptable and it’s making me want to go out and purchase more yellow clothing!
