Today I’ll be sharing with you guys my review of the Irresistible Me Clip In Hair Extensions which I’m very excited about as a) I’ve never tried clip ins before and b) I luhhhs me some long hair 😀 I’ve always been a fan of having long hair: as my face is rather round/oval and despite my hair being just about shoulder length, I always feel more attractive and a tad more confident when I have long tresses to flip around! Even though there are methods to getting longer hair such as weaves and braids, they can really do a lot of damage on hair and scalp due to excessive pulling, so I was very excited when I was asked by the team at Irresistible Me if I wanted to review their Royal Remy collection of clip in hair extensions. I received 10 bundles (200g) of 18 inch hair pieces in colour 1b, ranging in size from 1 clip per piece, to 4 clips per piece. The bundle came securely packed in a cardboard box, which contained an almost-vacuum packed transparent wallet containing the hair. I normally get colour 1b (off black/brown black) as it closely resembles my own hair colour.
The Royal Remy premium collection consists of Indian Remy hair that “has been specially treated to add extra silkiness and durability” and can be heat styled, washed, coloured and treated. As someone who has used Indian virgin hair before, I can say that this hair is a LOT silkier and just feels a lot smoother than the former! The clips were very easy to insert into the hair (and extra clips are provided just in case some come loose) and I started by clipping in the largest weft (4 clips) into the back of my hair and working my way up and around my side parting, inserting the single clipped wefts around my hairline and under my natural hair. The whole process took around 10 minutes or so (and I’m not great at doing my own hair!)

In the last photo, it shows hair freshly installed, without me styling it or adding any layering; see how it blends into my natural hair? I actually only used 7 bundles here, instead of the full 10, but look how FULL it is!
Pros:
– Hair is very soft and silky
– Hair effortlessly blends into my own hair (see 2nd to last photo!)
– Fast shipping and secure packaging
– Hair is very easily to manipulate and keeps it’s shape
– Clips easy to install and generally fuss free
– Bundles are thick and full of lustre
Cons:
– I do experience slight shedding when combing/detangling the hair.
Apart from the shedding, I am absolutely delighted with the hair. I can live with the shedding as it isn’t an obsessive amount and because the hair is so thick (as well as my natural hair), it’s not something that is immediately noticed. I love how convenient the clip ins are; They literally take less than 10 minutes to do and there is zero chance of any hair or scalp damage, which is exactly what I wanted.
It blends in really well with my hair (which is relaxed) and the clips do not ‘snag’ or tug my hair. I also love how voluminous the hair is. Another thing worth adding also is that unlike many weaves that tend to ‘float’ above the head, the clips lie really flat against the scalp! I can’t wait to get my curling irons out with this; who says you can’t have beachy waves in September?!
